Brandy Lemmon Owen's bizarre Child Protective Services case was "administratively closed" this week. Owen is the Libertarian Party nominee for Ellis County Judge against Republican Carol Bush this fall. A true psychopath named Kirk Kleinsorge --- just do a Google search on "Kirk Kleinsorge" to read his bizarre behavior comments on this blog a few weeks ago --- (who was later thrown in jail after The Ellis County Observer exposed him) -- accused Owen of abuse of her children, of which she has six in all.
Owen told The Ellis County Observer that CPS in Ellis County administratively closed her case.
Which is HUGE great news.

Ellis-Navarro Halal Slaughterhouse Update
An excerpt from an update on what's going on in the ongoing fight against a halal (it's the Muslim-backed clean meat designation) slaughterhouse on the Southern Ellis/northern Navarro County line:
According to a news release from the group, the American Zahiba Meat Inc. slaughterhouse has expressed plans for the disposal of raw wastewater on property near the county line, but the staff at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has said it will not require prior review before the facility begins operating.

Waxahachie Sex Crime Ring | Big Name People, Media Hiding Crimes
There was a town where prominent people -- including the publisher of the Establishment newspaper -- covered up for some of the worst crimes involving children. No one believed the victims. The public rallied around these individuals who were prominent in the community, who ran the Boys/Girls Club, who knew U.S. presidents on a first name basis, who even sang the national anthem at the Dallas Republican Party convention. One man, a prominent lawyer and also a state lawmaker, took the allegations and investigated them, up until the entire operation came crashing down...and several people ended up dead, or in prison, or both.

Now, in Waxahachie, Texas, we have a similar situation. There is a crime ring so big that it is being covered up by the big political Establishment newspaper (the Waxahachie Daily Light) and includes the most prominent individuals in the county, and in the community. Those in the know call it "the circle." Much like the circle that encompasses our county in the form of the old SuperCollider, this circle is a demonic, Satanic, from-the-depths-of-Hell sinister plot to cover up for the worst crimes against children since The Franklin Cover-Up.
My stories and investigations into the local Child Protective Services (CPS) ripping families apart are nothing compared to this...but those CPS stories on top of each other have stacked into one gigantic piece of this child sex ring pie. The other pieces include how the WDL is covering up for these crimes. The other piece is how the Sheriff's Office, the Waxahachie PD, and the biggest banker in the county is helping cover up for these crimes.
Judges, lawyers and other prominent individuals were busted by the FBI in the late 80s, early 90s for being implicated in drug-running operations. Not a word was reported, but everyone involved got away scot-free.

Today, I had the pleasure to meet Tamara Yarbrough in Waxahachie, and came away sickened, but also full of confirmations as to why I am in Ellis County, and why The Ellis County Observer is located here, and why The Ellis County Press was originally started out to be placed here.
Tamara Yarbrough has a rap sheet. A fairly lengthy, controversial one. That is not an untrue statement.
But she has alleged, and I have assisted in linking, the worst crimes in our county, mostly occurring in Waxahachie. Within "the circle."
Why else would the WDL cover up for, say, the Dr. Chitale crimes? Chitale was a doctor in Ennis Regional Medical Center. He sedated patients as he molested them. This was covered up because at the time, Ennis Police were distracted by certain women-folk, including JoAnn Livingston of the WDL, who reportedly was screwing Lt. Ron Roark. This was kept hush-hush until the Dallas Morning News (excuse me, until I and The Dallas Morning News) blew a hole in the story. Livingston later apologized to Chitale's victims because she couldn't/wouldn't report on what was going on.
Why else would the WDL and law enforcement cover up for (Google the words in bold) Judge Al Scoggins and Karen Weaver, not only their affair, but Karen Weaver's child molestation against four of her grandchildren?
Why else would the WDL and law enforcement cover up for Sara Ruth Spector's CPS horror trail, and CPS offices in Waxahachie and Ennis snatching kids to put them with family members with long, lengthy drug abuses? Livingston and Spector are friends.
Why else would CPS lose a civil trial (jury trial) and then counter it with a district attorney-led criminal case, only to then be drowned again by a jury? Same family, two different venues and two similar outcomes: not guilty. Livingston and the prosecutors are best friends.
Why else would the Waxahachie PD allow their patrol supervisor, Lt. Billie Wiggins Pendleton, stay employed when she clearly had an affair with the former police chief Ted Garber and his daughter? She's an admitted psychopath, according to transcripts in the Robert Trevino Case.

Rust even became a character witness for Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough during a divorce proceeding before Judge Al Scoggins. Kenneth Wayne wants to divorce Tamara for a few reasons...let's dive into those:
1) Judge Gene Calvert issued a protective order against Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough on behalf of the 11-year-old daughter, the only daughter between Kenneth Wayne and Tamara, in October 2009;
2) Kenneth Wayne filed for divorce shortly after that, and was, shockingly, given custody of the 11-year-old daughter per a CPS intervention;
3) Tamara, remember, has a rap sheet. Probation for 10 years, etc. Nothing in the order I read today bars her from seeing her daughter, but Kenneth Wayne has blocked all communication and visitation access to her daughter. I'm guessing those friends in high places helped Kenneth Wayne out. This is strictly conjecture, but, as history proves in this county, it is precisely the reason this stuff happens...
4) Calvert issued out of his Court at Law No. 2 the protective order because of physical and emotional abuse;
5) One day, before the divorce proceedings and the subsequent CPS intervention, the little 11-year-old daughter came to Tamara to tell her, "I have something I need to tell you." Before the child could repeat a word, Tamara took her to Waxahachie PD and wanted the 11-year-old to tell the police the allegations, so as to not make it look like she was coaching her child. WPD said they'd call the Gingerbread Advocacy Center, an organization that supposedly assists victims of child sex abuse. One look at their board of directors will show a who's who list of those who are (some, not all) helping perpetuating the cover up against the crimes against kids: CPS; the District Attorney; the WDL, just to name a few...
6) Tamara Yarbrough never received a call. But her daughter met with the Dunaway Elementary principal and guidance counselor one day, and told them the allegations. I asked Tamara if her daughter ever told her...and Tamara said she didn't want to know for fear others would think she coached her child. The Dunaway officials, God bless them, called CPS and made the allegations from Tamara's daughter a "Priority No. 1," which is ISD lingo for "we have some serious problems here...and we need an investigation pronto."
7) Tamara later said that her daughter's journal confirmed that something had happened, while not going into detail (the journal was dated when her 11-year-old daughter wrote it, she said.)
8) Tamara and Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough have been married for 13 years.
9) Back in 1999, Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough's then-16-year-old son Heath Yarbrough was sentenced to prison for raping Tamara's then-3-year-old son. Heath allegedly raped him anally. It was later alleged that Heath himself was molested as a child. Heath is now out of prison for raping the 3-year-old (who is now 23.) There were other allegations: Kenneth Wayne's son, Heath, had exposed himself to neighbor girls and also allegedly raped another boy.
10) Tamara's now-21-year-old daughter alleged that Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough raped her as well. The allegations came out of Fort Worth, where the 21-year-old daughter lived at the time. Tamara said she didn't believe her daughter for fear that her daughter was making it up because "she was mad at me." The allegations - two to be exact - were made, and the Waxahachie police reportedly arrested Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough. Remember those high places with friends? One of them happened to be a guy named Dusty Autrey, the owner (co?) of Triple A (AAA) Bail Bonds in Waxahachie. Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough was given a "walk-through" and arraigned without even being present before an unknown judge. Funny how things like that work...
11) The IRS letter sent to Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough's friends the Crownovers is a telling document...in it, the IRS says the Social Security number Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough uses is invalid, and has been. The IRS told Tamara Yarbrough, "I've never seen anything like this in my 30 years of working for the IRS. It was as if he was never born, never existed."
12) Tamara said her and Kenneth Wayne never had a bank account, but CNB Texas' Mark Singleton would -- with Kenneth Wayne's signature reportedly -- give him a "$1 million line of credit" --- all this, Tamara says, with no bank account.
13) KCK Roofing is located at 815 Cantrell Street south of downtown Waxahachie. It's now part of Brogdon Roofing. Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough is friends with a James Brogdon. James Brogdon is the grandfather of a Jessica Brogdon, who Tamara said was in bed with Kenneth Wayne one day as she walked in (this was when Jessica was about 13 or 14.)...Kenneth Wayne Yarbrough was "butt naked" with the young Jessica. Kenneth Wayne told her he was off his medications (had Jessica been my young daughter, Kenneth Wayne would have had two bullets in his head.) That might have explained why he was naked, but why was a young girl whose grandfather is now business partners with Yarbrough in his bed? Tamara Yarbrough said she told Cindy Brogdon, Jessica's mother. (Cindy is married to Cecil, who is also part of, or the sole owner of, Brogdon Roofing.)

Texas GOP $750,000 in Debt
We were lied to at the GOP convention a few weeeks ago. There's a lot more to the story to be told now that new GOP chair Steve Munisteri and his army of accountants have scoured documents and books and vendor contracts that look all sorts of "good 'ol boy."
The report that the Texas GOP was $750,000 in debt was made Tuesday at the Republican Party of Ellis County executive committee. The local party still has not found a permanent headquarters, but the fundraising is picking up thanks to chair Dan Davis' $100 Club.
Excalibur Printing has also donated thousands of dollars worth of printing to the Ellis County GOP, as well as to the Ellis County Young Republicans. This proves the grassroots have a printing operation as well. We don't need high-priced consultants all the time you know...

Ellis County GOP Executive Committee Meeting Tuesday, July 6

Child Protective Services Atty Feared for Her Safety Due to The Ellis County Observer
Sara Ruth Spector, the former Child Protective Services attorney for County/District Atty Joe Grubbs, looked for employment elsewhere after she reportedly thought The Ellis County Observer was putting her safety and jeopardy in line. This came from the ex-Combine Police Dept. reserve officer John Allen "Jay" Hoskins yesterday (Hoskins had me thrown in jail for 12 days, and now there is a civil rights lawsuit at work; Hoskins and his chief both resigned after I walked out of jail a free man, all charges being rejected by Dallas County prosecutors):
Comal County Assistant District Attorney Sara SPECTOR contacted this agency, and stated that when she was an ADA in Ellis County within the past year, that DAUBEN posted that she needed to be the victim of “vigilante justice” for her involvement in a CPS case as an attorney for the State, and subsequently, MEISSNER began to place several phone calls to her. She stated she did not return them. SPECTOR stated she further feared for her safety, and immediately began pursuing jobs elsewhere after DAUBEN’S calls for “vigilante justice”.
LOL @ "vigilante justice." I guess if vigilante justice is whipping up parents, supporters, readers of the blog and lawyers to shape the public opinion against Spector, I'm "guilty" of making her leave Ellis County. Thank God, and good riddance. Sara Ruth Spector is a psychopath whose father and brother are both psychologists. She has no children. She has no husband, yet she thought she could bully her way into Court at Law No. 1 hearings and argue that fathers who were meth addicts and who never saw their kid were acceptable to take custody of them. She also called in a suicide attempt -- and I have that from the very dispatchers who took the call! Spector asked at least two times with me in the audience to have Court at Law No. 1 restrict, ban and gag any writings on the blogs and newspapers, at which point Judge Greg Wilhelm totally rejected.

I was destroying CPS cases through this blog, and Sara Ruth Spector was the biggest "prize" ------ she didn't like the fact her cases were being tried in the press and on the blog, and more and more angry parents found out the truth, and more and more came out of the woodwork. I posted CPS employees' pay scales and resumes online (on this very blog) to give parents some ammo in dealing with these family-destroying tramps.
Vigilante justice, haha. I'm harmless as a gnat, people. Former "detective" Hoskins was so traumatized that I would create CrookedCombine.com and GypsyCopJay.com and issue editorial attacks on him that he had me thrown in jail for 12 days...at least when I was getting paid money to create those Web sites, I was utilizing them to publish the truth about him and others' records (much like he did with MichaelMeissner.com and The Bardwell Intruder.) Unlike JoAnn Livingston, I don't get paid not to report things...there's a market for the truth, is what I've always said.
I have SaraSpector.com too. Is that a crime? I was paid $25 to get SaraSpector.com. Does anyone want to start an "investigation" on me now for that? You people are comical...

I don't need concoctions of violence to carry out my mission...I just need a pen, a keyboard, a digital camera and a newspaper, of which I am about to hold seven such papers in my portfolio.
Do you people think I'm setting up newspapers to publish recipes and city council stories? Haha! You folks don't know me that well. I'm setting up this miniature media empire to ensure that everyone all across this county and surrounding areas have as much information as possible as to who their elected/appointed officials are. That's why I pulled the TCLEOSE information of every commissioned cop in a six-county radius.
Elections come, elections go, but this blog has remained. I have been on the scene since I was 19-years-old. Not even jail stopped me, nor intimidation, nor threats of lawsuits.
I do not back down to anyone, gypsy cop or assistant DA, or the like.

Court at Law No. 1 | Another Ellis County CPS Case, Another Bizarre Story
I thought my days of fighting off Child Protective Services problems were somewhat over with, but obviously, there are still demons in the pit I've got to expose...starting with Christine Williams' story that she told and re-told to me today in a sit-down interview:
-- Her daughter, Destiny Briggs, fought off a CPS attempt to take away her lovely daughter Aaliyah in Round 1 of a battle --- she later won full custody of the children. This first case involved Destiny living with a friend and her daughter, plus this friend's mother. The mother was reportedly an alcoholic and pill-popper who got angry with Destiny one day and left threatening voicemails on her phone that said something to the effect of, "I'll make sure you never see your kid again..."
-- During that first CPS battle, Destiny's little daughter was temporarily placed with a LaDonna Garrett and her husband. After the CPS situation was resolved and Destiny won full custody (Ellis County's jurisdiction was set because Destiny's friend lived in Waxahachie...and so the mom made accusations in Ellis County, hence CPS becoming involved -- and later, CPS lawyers rejected attempts to transfer the case to Tarrant County CPS officials.)
-- Bizarrely, this LaDonna Garrett had photos upon photos upon photos of cute little Aaliyah (such a pretty name) all over her house, but not a single one, according to Christine Williams, of her biological son.
-- It recently slipped out in Court at Law No. 1 (Judge Greg Wilhelm, R-Midlothian, presiding) between Destiny's lawyer and the baby's lawyer that LaDonna had made "hysterical" phone calls crying and wishing for the adoption of this baby Aaliyah.
-- Christine Williams and her daughter Destiny (mother of Aaliyah) have tried and tried to get Greg Wilhelm to stop this repeated call for mediation. He has ruled such mediation twice now, according to Christine. Judge Wilhelm has not heard all of the facts of this case as to why LaDonna Garrett is insisting on adopting the child (Aaliyah.)
Where it gets weird is that there is a motion for "temporary custody awaiting adoption" -- according to Christine Williams -- that LaDonna Garrett has got going in Court at Law No. 1. I'm sure there are many details left to flesh out in this ordeal, but Garrett has reportedly bragged about having many family members in law enforcement, including an extremely nice, cordial uncle who works at the Court at Law offices (or at least did when the offices were at the old Walmart building in Waxahachie.) Her Facebook friends page has a "Wilhelm" listed...though Christine Williams says she's unsure if there's any relation to the judge, but should this become an issue? We'll see...
Though Christine Williams says CPS is not involved in Round 2, I think they are...behind the scenes or what-not. CPS doesn't forget people who beat them...case in point: Mark Griffith's clients, the Daubitz family, defeated CPS in a civil case (jury trial) and in a subsequent criminal matter. CPS is the most unaccountable organization in Texas. It answers to no one other than juries, and still, that hasn't stopped them from enacting political revenge from prosecutors via their court-connections.
Again, there are many details to be fleshed out in the coming days...but right now, there are mediation hearings and Aaliyah's family does not want to give the child up for adoption to LaDonna Garrett, or to anyone.
How in the hell can a court set a motion for the adoption of a child even after Destiny Briggs was awarded full custody of the child in Round 1?
Does not make sense in the slightest...
The Court of Public Opinion is now in session. I'll be the judge, but I'll let the public opinion sway whichever way...I want justice to be done for little Aaliyah, and if there are any subversive tactics being used to steal a child away from a parent, they will have me to contend with.
Because my CPS record is spotless...to quote Mark Griffith:
"You are to journalism what I am to law."

Rural Fire Districts Asked to Comply in Time for Federally Mandated 'Reprogramming'

Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee to disband
As county departments complete their move into the new courts building on Jackson Street in Waxahachie, the Commissioners’ Court prepared to disband the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee.
“I know everyone is aware that we had a very dedicated bond oversight committee, who were stewards of the building project,” said County Judge Carol Bush during Monday’s regularly-scheduled meeting of the Commissioners’ Court. “They did a fabulous job and we owe a great debt of gratitude to all of them.”
Members of the committee are Roy Orr (Chair), Cathy Altman, Cheree´ Barrett, Jimmy Boon, Larry Burns (Co-Chair), Ken Chambers, Albert Garcia Sr., Scott Jackson, John Knight, Bill Lewis, James Moon, Charlie Morton, John Tabor, John Wyckoff, and Doug Young.
The committee, which has been meeting quarterly for almost three years, will be officially disbanded following its final meeting, scheduled for Monday, June 21, 2010.
“That will be a fun time to rehash a little history and sort of pat each other on the backs for the success of our adding this new facility,” Bush concluded.
The Court also voted to reaffirm the historic Ellis County Courthouse, located at 101 West Main in Waxahachie, as the location for all legal postings for the County.
“We are required by law to have legal postings in a place that’s public and where the public can go 24/7 to see these items,” Bush said. “We do post on our website, but we have a bulletin board that you are familiar with outside. Because we are now in the two different facilities, we don’t want any confusion, so we want to go ahead and designate one locale. I am suggesting that it continue to be right here at 101 West Main.”
Commissioner Bill Dodson, pct. 2, received the support of the other members of the Court for a memo to be sent out to all Volunteer Fire Departments and all Emergency Service Districts regarding emergency radio communications.
“In 2013 we will be required to go to narrow band,” Dodson said. “We’ve got to do something now to give ourselves time to do the testing.”
Dodson’s memo asks all rural fire personnel who have not already complied with voluntary reprogramming to take their equipment in for programming. Some equipment, depending upon its age, may have to be replaced.
“This has been complicated, and there have been lots of meetings,” Bush added. “Bill, you’ve done a great job.”
In other business, Commissioners:
Authorized the Ellis County and District Attorney’s Office to file an application for temporary restraining order and pleading for a temporary injunction and permanent injunction in Cause No. 80843, Ellis County, et. al. v. Michael McConnell, et. al, in the 40th Judicial District Court, Ellis County, Texas.
Authorized upgrade of a precinct 2 road worker position from Road Worker VI ($17.75 per hour) to Equipment Operator ($18.12/hour) effective June 28, 2010;
Selected three public members and three alternate public members for the Elected Official Salary Grievance Committee for FY 2010-2011, drawing from a list of grand jurors for the preceding year as required by statute.

Paul Perry Joins Texas Republican Freedom Coalition as Advisor
Along with my appointment as chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus comes this news (from former RLCTX allies):

Paul Perry, who is an investments manager and a mediator, has been active in the Republican Party since his college days at Baylor University. Throughout roughly 30 years of political activism, Perry has championed conservative principles. As a student, he was a member, state board member and Baylor chairman of the Young Conservatives of Texas. Mr. Perry was elected to office as a Republican candidate, serving as Ellis County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, in the 1990s.

Commissioners Court | June 14, 2010 | Federal Mandates
Unfortunately, I cannot make 10 a.m. meetings at the courthouse due to worksuch, but there are federal mandates the county will abide by stemming from the Federal Communications Commission. A couple of county commissioners say upgrading the antennas, towers and other communication equipment in our county will help Emergency Services Districts, fire districts, etc. That may be true, but is there a cost associated with this, or is it simply a mandate that attaches to it federal money?

Republican Revolt: Ellis County's Huge Day @ GOP Convention
There are so many good things to report it's almost too much to type...but, here it goes:
1. State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) member for Senate District 22 (that's ours), Chris DeCluitt, lost re-election Saturday to Jimmy Kerr of China Spring, a Tea Party-backed candidate who is sick of the corruption in McLennan County GOP politics. DeCluitt was knocked out of the heirship of the State Senate when this blog and several other key ingredients unearthed, exposed and reported the Brazos River Authority scandal. DeCluitt's loss Saturday was a huge blow to the SREC...
2. SREC female member (each senate district has two representatives on the GOP committee, a male and a female) Janet Jackson defeated Molly Smith.
SD-22 is now represented at the state level with true conservatives! And, what's by far the best news of all:
3. Cathie Adams, appointed to the chairmanship after Tina Benkiser stepped down to take a position with the Rick Perry campaign, lost to former Ron Paul staffer (and The Ellis County Observer endorsed) Steve Munisteri in the race for GOP chairman. HUGE win for those who love the Constitution side of the GOP.
4. County Doll Judge Carol Bush was appointed secretary of something, according to spies on the convention floor, who saw her sitting at a table doing nothing but looking gorgeous.
5. I was appointed chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas. Total shock and unexpected nomination from several longtime RLC activists. The RLC is the "Tea Party" wing of the Republican Party. We were promoting the Constitutional Conservatives way, way, way back when...
All in all, I think Ellis County has definitely taken a stand in the political arena, or has had a direct impact on much of what's going on in our state. This is going to be an interesting year...

Precinct 4 County Employees Accused of Dumping Asphalt in Creek
If a private citizen was accused of illegal dumping, the Ellis County Sheriff's Office would investigate, and refer the case to prosecutors in the DA's office. So I'm curious how the actions - or lack of action - will play out when the accusations are against county employees.
Employees of Ellis County’s commissioner Precinct 4 and residents of Midlothian have alleged seeing county dump trucks of pouring asphalt in creeks and a flood plain in the 2500 block of Walnut Grove, according to documents received by The Palmer Post in an open records request.
Once the environmentalists in Midlothian get word of this, I'm sure a simple open records act request can be filed with Ellis County for these exact documents that I have in my possession. The allegations are clear-cut. Witnesses saw Precinct 4 employees dumping asphalt into a creek.
The "Cover-Up Clock" is ticking...let's see who has the balls in our county government to truly investigate these allegations...

Kissinger Was Right. Ellis County Citizens Don't Mind U.N. Troops
I guess all of you don't mind the fact that United Nations troops are flying over Ellis County's skies in American helicopters.
For if anyone did, there would be a bit more of a concerted pushback on allowing South Korean military forces to fly around Ellis County in Chinook helicopters. The South Koreans train with U.S. servicemen in helicopters and stop at Mid-Way Regional Airport to re-fuel.
Granted, the South Koreans are our allies, but how many times have American forces trained troops and forces from other nations only to have those nations turn right around and fire upon us, attack us, etc.? It's happening again in Afghanistan. We train the Taliban forces and the warlords, using our CIA, and then we get what's coming to us...doesn't make sense. Same thing occurred in Vietnam when we were fighting the Communists. Our CIA, unbeknown to us, was training, equipping, funding and smuggling arms to the North.
However, the most disgraceful man to ever be on the U.S. government payroll, Henry Kissinger, was correct in large part when he said this:
"Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles Ellis County, Texas to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will pledge with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."

Do I Continue SPCA Investigation? Or Allow 'Disgruntled Ex-Employee' to Remain Excuse?
Recently, I broke a story about the SPCA -- which is being funded partially by Ellis County taxpayers -- allegedly euthanizing animals without giving them a muscle-relaxer drug --- which is a requirement under Drug Enforcement Agency guidelines. I didn't and I don't reveal where my source(s) are, nor will I confirm or deny that I've got audio recordings from inside SPCA, but the response from SPCA was what one would expect:
I know how you obtained it, sir, from a disgruntled ex-employee. I assure you, we do everything by the law. So if you feel the need to contact the Sheriff’s office or the commissioner’s court, please feel free to do so.
Our budget is not under constraint, nor do we cut corners when it comes to the welfare of the animals. I am sorry you were misinformed.

Of course SPCA would not openly admit to doing what has been alleged by multiple sources, but should that be the end of it? Should this "disgruntled ex-employee" line simply be the stop sign to government-sponsored animal abuse (see Ferris animal shelter problems -- recent ones -- for a look at what "government sponsored" means)?
There's also a plot of land near Rockett (between Ferris and Waxahachie) that has numerous, numerous horses on the property and they are malnourished and some of them are rotting on this land, but the sheriff's office has been notified but no one is investigating...or are they? The horses are still dying...

Ellis County Tea Party/Conservatives Shake-Up --- Sorta

Since the liberal tramps in the Waxahachie Daily Light and other locations (mainly those of a liberal variety who have no grasp of what our Constitution means or says) are freaked out about this "militia" talk, I offer no response...I don't speak for anyone other than myself, but a militia is a completely voluntary, non-violent body of God-fearing people ---- armed to the teeth.
The Second Amendment, people, is to protect one against the government as a last option. That is precisely what it is there for. Go research it.

Since the liberal tramps in the Waxahachie Daily Light and other locations (mainly those of a liberal variety who have no grasp of what our Constitution means or says) are freaked out about this "militia" talk, I offer no response...I don't speak for anyone other than myself, but a militia is a completely voluntary, non-violent body of God-fearing people ---- armed to the teeth.
The Second Amendment, people, is to protect one against the government as a last option. That is precisely what it is there for. Go research it.
Ellis County | New Courts Building Christened; Somewhere, Al Cornelius is Crying
Al Cornelius, the former county judge ('98-'02) who gave us the Pink Elephant (the former justice center that had to be razed...passed with a tax anticipation note after voters rejected it at the polls), now lives in Oregon, and he left town as soon as he was done screwing us over and over again...may he look to this new courts building with shame...and one day, judgment will come to him for his and his commissioners' court misdeeds.

Grand Opening Celebrated
County officials and employees and members of the public gathered this afternoon to celebrate the opening of the County’s new courts and administration building, county jail expansion, and the City of Waxahachie’s new parking garage.
“I’d like to extend a warm welcome to the various mayors, city councilmen, elected officials from around the county, law enforcement, and each and every one of you who has chosen to celebrate this momentous occasion,” said County Judge Carol Bush. “What an honor and a privilege it is for me to be standing here today hosting the dedication of the new Ellis County Courts Administration building, the new Waxahachie Parking Garage, and our jail expansion.”
After a moving invocation by County and District Attorney Joe Grubbs, in which he recognized that there is no authority except from God and asked that each person in authority be possessed of humility and a servant’s attitude, Waxahachie High School Senior Camille Spooner sang the national anthem while onlookers turned toward a U.S. flag that has flown over the nation’s capitol, provided by Congressman Joe Barton.
On behalf of the Commissioners’ Court, Bush went on to extend thanks to the many individuals who have worked together over the last few years to get to this point, beginning with the Facilities Committee appointed by the Court several years ago to study the issue.
“They gave their time, energy, and thick skins and without them, truly, we would not be here today,” Bush said.
Members of the original Facilities Committee included Don Frisbee, Dave Risinger, Larry Burns, Jon Davis, and the late Joe Bob Wilson. Commissioners Ron Brown, pct. 4, and Heath Sims, pct. 3, also served on the committee, which worked with then County Planner Clyde Melick and County Engineer Joe White to assess the condition and functionality of existing county facilities and, as Bush said, “chart a course” for the county.
Bush applauded the “Vote Yes” Committee, a self-organized group of concerned citizens who volunteered to educate the community on the need for the new facilities and the sale of bonds necessary to fund the project. This group included Larry Burns, Harold Nolte, Ron Langenheder, Melissa and Lane Ballard, and Mark Singleton, along with many others who worked with them. Following the passing of the bond package, the Commissioners’ Court appointed a Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee, chaired by Roy Orr. Members of the Oversight Committee included Cathy Altman, Cheree´ Barrett, Jimmy Boon, Larry Burns, Ken Chambers, Albert Garcia, Scott Jackson, John Knight, Bill Lewis, James Moon, Charlie Morton, Tommy Rossa, John Tabor, John Wyckoff, and Doug Young.
Bush also recognized the leadership of former County Judge Chad Adams and former Sheriff Ray Stewart, and extended her thanks to numerous county and city employees for their part in the years-long effort. Architects, designers, construction managers, and Jones Lang LaSalle Vice President Jon Vidaurri also received the Judge’s thanks and praise for their superior work.
“I want to give special recognition to one County employee who has orchestrated this entire project from its inception. He is the personification of public service,” Bush said, speaking of County Engineer Joe White. “Although I know that this is embarrassing him terribly to be singled out this way, it would be wrong of me to give him a cursory mention. He has dedicated himself to this project and has given his expertise, sacrificed blood, sweat and maybe even a few tears, not to mention probably his dark hair to seeing this become a reality.”
In closing, Bush spoke of the building at her back as “the new girl in town.”
“She is making her debut today. With her 102,000 square feet firmly planted on a solid foundation, I imagine her giving a nod of deference and then a jaunty grin to the red sandstone and granite matriarch across the way, acknowledging the obligations her predecessor has borne alone, and eager to prove herself worthy to share the load. It is a great day for Ellis County, and we should be celebrating for the next 100 years.”
Waxahachie City Manager Paul Stevens took a few moments at the podium to give a brief history of the project and the collaboration between city and county, closing with a quote from Winston Churchill, “We shape our buildings; thereafter, they shape us.”
It was then that Bush introduced the surprise guest speaker who had been waiting inside the building: Dallas Cowboys great Roger Staubach. As chief executive of the Staubach Company and now Jones Lang LaSalle, following a merger, Staubach said he is proud to have been part of the team that did such a good job for Ellis County.
“I think you should take a tour of your new facility,” Bush said in closing. “Pat yourself on the back. Come take a look.”
Various county offices are in the process of moving into the facility, with completion scheduled for mid June. Citizens are urged to call ahead when planning to do business with the county in order to avoid unnecessary inconvenience, as some offices may be closed briefly to carry out an efficient move.
