It's Happening | Oncor 'Line Fee' Added to Bills -- Cap-and-Trade Will Be Worse

So, those who continue to support the policies of this current administration are now going to dictate to the rest of Ellis County what will be common: more and more and more and more fees on utility bills, among other things. Oncor has hit people's bills with "line fees," according to several readers of The Palmer Post. I hope you folks really love your green sustainable living bullshit now...because it's obvious this gouging by government is resulting in these utility companies (who are half-ass regulated...not fully deregulated because Oncor still owns the lines) jacking up fees...as usual.

What's even more, churches, volunteer fire departments and non-profits are being hit with these fees more and more...

  1. deregulation isn't necessarily a bad thing all the time, and it's not always the feds doing the regulating.
The phone companies, the public utilities, etc...
They all jack up their charges when their cost of doing business goes up, just like any other business. Regulation causes this to happen almost every time.
While some regulation is good thing, not all is good.
The business lobbiests, whether at the local, state or federal level buy off with money, certain politicians, and they expect to get a return on their investment i.e. tax payer money. Either way, they get our money.
I have a family member that is an aid to a senator on the Armed Services Commitee in DC and this person will soon be going into the lobbying business for a company that used to lobby the boss (Senator) *seems logical*.
This person will be making loads more cash in the private sector and we'll pay the salary either way.
That is why most retired or defeated politicians/politician aids and lawyers go into the lobbying business that they (the political establishment) once regulated.
We hear the phrase "we need to regulate the utilities", YEAH, it sounds great.
Most folks think that it will bring down the price or penalize the "RICH" folks running them.
They pass on the cost to you and me EVERY time, the little guy...
...and we vote for it 'cause class envy sells in this world every time it's tried.
And the politicians and big business just keep on laughing all the way to the bank every time.

  2. Ask the folks who have barns, fire departments, libraries, etc. They are being considered businesses now and are charged a large fee by Oncor to deliver electricity to them. Farmers are ready to pull their hair out over these fees. If I remember correctly I believe they are charging somewhere $100.00 per mo just to deliver it to barns.
