If Dallas PD Chief David Brown Were White, Would He Resign Then?

I don't believe Dallas Police Dept. Chief David Brown should resign because his adult-demonically possessed son shot and killed a Lancaster cop, a black cop at that. However, many voices are saying Brown should resign his position. Sure, it's pretty heart-breaking to know your kin would kill a police officer...but why should Chief Brown resign?

Now let's switch up the storyline, just for discussion purposes: if Chief David Brown were white, and his son were white, and the cop was black, do you think the NAACP and civil rights leaders would be rushing to Brown's defense? I would say hell no they wouldn't...rules for them vs. rules for us. That's just how it is...

This is simply for discussion and debate purposes. Again, I don't believe Brown should have to resign, no matter the outcry on KLIF 570 AM.

  1. Even the best of parents can produce children who get into trouble. There are so many other outside influences involved these days. By all accounts, Chief Brown has worked very hard to get to the position he works in and I do not believe that he should resign because of the actions of his son. I just heard Chief Brown's statement and it seemed heartfelt and sincere. I just listened to Officer Shaw's father and he also does not feel Chief Brown should step down. There are so many victim's in this tragedy...Jeremy McMillan, his family and children...even the killer had a child who will grow up without a father. No matter what type of influence David Brown, Jr. had/did not have on his child, he/she will still grow up without their dad. This is one of the saddest stories I have heard in a long time.

  2. Yeah, don't even get me started on this! The Dallas Police Chief and Family are probably more the victim of a terrible science experiment.

I say we do a full disclosure, open case study of all vaccinations the family has ever had administered, their diets and meds.

Especially, if Dad was Military and was repeatedly vaccinated?
What kind of soda pops the young man drank who went psychotic and murdered people?
What kind of ridilin or a.d.d. meds he was on?
    Flu shots?
    Favorite fast food?

The amount of meds people take is insane these days. Maybe a government serving, fully vested in to "the system" family, are abused at the cost of their sanity. Look into it the correlation.

The Chief, I can almost guarantee, did not see this coming. Their family, dare I say, is suffering just as much as the victims' families.

  3. Gotta agree with you liberate...
I want folks that are in positions of trust and power in this country that are a *cut above*.
Better than the average joe...including me.
When we relinquish this standard and accept just anyone, then we get the government and the stupid laws we have today.
It's up to us as citizens of this great country to keep them accountable, and rid ourselves of them when they become counter productive to our civil society.
I mean in no way to say that Brown should be crucified for the sins of the child, but if it comes to the point where it *hinders his ability to lead or otherwise preform his job*, then he should step aside for the good of the people he represents.
I say this of course from the outside looking in...

  4. Well, there is still the question of where did JR. get his gun, or guns! not one word on that....yet. Funny how that works, anyone else would have had his ass scrutinized to the hilt, and they would have found bullets bought at Wal-Mart. I have not heard where this young cop killer got his weapon/s. I would hate to hear it was one of daddy's, then there would be a problem. Then there is the question of this young mans past...was it troubled or, shall we say, normal. Nope, have not heard nothing on that either. You don't just snap and kill two people, especially a cop, something is there, but who is going to check it out, bet most is under the rug. I would guess, that since he was sent to the great beyond, then not much will be said, however, if he had done this and lived, the the ending would change significantly for Chief Brown. Still, as is, it is a heavy cross for him to carry.

But LiterateOne, please don't be naive. If the racial quotient was reversed in this situation, and David Brown were white, he would be pressured to resign in ways we could all guess...it's a fact.

It's like the Jasper killings where the Klansmen dragged James Byrd behind a truck. Those savages ought to be put to death for what they did to that innocent black man, but months after that, some black folks did the same thing to a white guy and you didn't have a peep from the civil rights or media folks come out like they did on Byrd.

However, one only needs to see the photo on the front page of the Dallas Morning News of Chief Brown's son and look at that face. Those who are spiritually in tune will know what I'm talking about. He is demon possessed. His face looked as if it were a demon. Chief Brown needs to denounce his generational/family curses and get rid of them all at once...

It's true stuff man. Spiritually, speaking...that family generational curse stuff is real.

  6. Joey,

One thing I totally agree with is the fact that the United States still in the year 2010 has a horrible problem with racism coming from both black and white. Its hard to understand how we as a society can be so advanced in some aspects and still so ignorant in others.

I also agree that Brown has some family generational curses that he needs some Godly assistance with. I have family members that work for DPD and I worry (because of many things that the public never heard about) that this is yet another reason he isn't fit for the job.
